1. The truth about sin
Since the first man Adam fell into sin, the sin that binds have been down to all his descendants until today. God's Word says in Romans chapter 5 verse 12, Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned .
Psalm of David chapter 51 verse 5 also says, surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. In the Gospel of John chapter 8 verse 34 is written Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. It is no coincidence if the Word of God explains that someone who commits sin is a slave of sin. Slave showed full of bind to the master who has power over him. Romans chapter 6 verse 16 says, don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey — whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? And Romans chapter 3 verses 9-12 also says 9 What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? [Or worse] Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no-one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no-one who understands, no-one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no-one who does good, not even one.” [Psalms 14:1- 3; 53:1-3; Eccles. 7:20]
But the most terrible reality of sin is that sin turns man away from God. God opposes and hates sin. Sin is a form of disobedience and rebellion to God and disobedience of course it means insulting the holiness of God. Therefore God punishes sin in eternal death. Maybe there are people who think it is a form of injustice. But there is one question we ought to ponder. Who are we to question the justice of Almighty God, our creator? It is God who formed the heavens and the earth that make up all the systems in the world that the earth and everything in it can run on a regular basis. Isaiah chapter 40 verse 28 says, do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no-one can fathom. The Book of Revelation chapter 15 verse 3 also says and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. God's justice is real and true that is why sin must be punished. As stated in Romans chapter 3 verse 23 that is for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That's the truth about sin.
2. Salvation is the Grace of God
Sin resulted the image of God in man became damaged. Human lives lost and far from God. Humans become slaves of sin and have a tendency to always to do sin. Romans chapter 7 verses 18-19 says 18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. [Or my flesh] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do — this I keep on doing. This shows that humans cannot escape from the bondage of sin and death. But thanks God who has revealed His compassion to humans. In Romans chapter 5 verses 8-11 God's word also says 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Hallelujah! God himself who came into the world to save mankind.
The Apostle John testified in John chapter 1verses 1 - 4 & 18 that are 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men… 18 No-one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, [Or the Only Begotten] [Some manuscripts: but the only (or only begotten) Son] who is at the Father’s side, has made him known. In Christ there is a way of salvation and eternal life to all who believe in Him. 9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” [Isaiah 28:16] 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” [Joel 2:32] (Romans chapter 10 verses 9-13)
The grace of God to all people but Ephesians 1:4-5 says For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he [Or sight in love. 5 He] predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will — Does this indicate that salvation is not for everyone? Of course not! In a letter of 2 Peter chapter 3 verse 9 clearly says, The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. It’s obviously God want everyone to be saved. So are the Word of God had been contradictory? Of course not! We should know that God in His eternal omniscient simultaneously and thoroughly knows the future of mankind. He knows who will reject or accept salvation in Christ Jesus. It is the wisdom of God that we cannot understand. Therefore everyone who took the decision to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ should be grateful for the choices they make. But does that mean we should rejoice over our choices we make and lived carelessly? Once again, of course not! Ephesians chapter 2 verses 8-10 says 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — 9 not by works, so that no-one can boast. 10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. So if we believe it is by grace and only by grace.
A simple gospel song with Java language that contains the call to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ may be a deep reflection to make an important choice in your lives.
